MEET THE OFFICERS FOR 2019-2020

The leadership team behind Austin Collegiate DECA works to help its members be prepared for both competitions and the real world. Each of these individuals contributes greatly to the chapter as they create and refine their skill sets and talents to support our organization mission and grow our membership.

GRACE SANFILIPPO

Hey Longhorns! My name is Grace Sanfilippo, and this will be my fourth year in collegiate DECA. Previously, I had not known what DECA was, but after seeing the amazing opportunities and meeting the chapter members, I could not wait to see what DECA had to offer! I am very excited to see where this chapter will go in the future!
This year, I will be a senior at UT, pursuing a degree in Marketing and a minor in Finance. I am also a member in the University Finance Association and Women in Business Association. I love traveling, puppies, chocolate, music (except Country -- I’m from Chicago), and adventures! I can’t wait to get to know all of you!

Hey Longhorns! My name is Kyle Parrott, and I’ll be serving as your Executive Vice President this year. Now in my third year with DECA, I’m excited to spend this year making DECA as great for everyone as it has been for me.
This year will be my senior year here at UT, but it won’t be my last! As a member of the iMPA program, I’m studying for my bachelor’s and master’s degree in accounting. As busy as I may be between classes, projects, and working for the University, don’t hesitate to ask if you need anything. Hook ‘em!

MATTHEW WHYTE

Hello! My name is Matthew Whyte and I am the Director of Recruitment for the 2019 -2020 school year. I have been involved with DECA for three years including high school, and I am excited to recruit people to an organization that has played such an important role in my professional development.

As a second student, I am currently undeclared but I plan on double majoring in Finance and Public Relations. Outside of DECA, I am an active member of the UT choir program. I look forward to the next school year with DECA, and I am excited to meet all of our future new members this recruitment season!

JULIA WEZIO

Hey! My name is Julia Wezio and I’m so excited to be your Director of Membership for the 2019-2020 year. This is my 7th year as an active member of DECA, and it’s an honor to get to work with the brilliant and talented people on this campus and see what kind of amazing things we can accomplish together.

I’m a Junior at UT pursuing a degree in Marketing with a minor in RTF. In my free time, I film videos and take up spontaneous adventures with friends, so I’m looking forward to the incredible experiences we can make together as an organization this year. Hook ‘Em!!!

Hey longhorns! I'm Nicole Alwardi and I'll be your VP of Web Design and Social Media. I am extremely excited to lead this year with a strong mindset of creativity, communication and comfort. This is my 5th year in DECA (including HS DECA) and I have learned the most useful business skills from this organization.

BRITTNEY COLBATH

Hello Longhorns! I'm Brittney Colbath, and this next year will mark my fIfth year as a member of DECA, including my time in the high school division. I feel lucky to have the opportunity to continue at UT in the organization that shaped me into the person I am today. My goals this year are to increase Austin Collegiate DECA's overall philanthropy and increase engagement.

I am currently a rising junior here at UT Austin majoring in Plan II Honors and Marketing. I have lived all over the place as a military brat and cannot wait to keep seeing more of the world. I am excited to build our chapter to new heights in the coming year!
